Last weekend (28/29 January) we had 25 aircraft attend the Greenstone Back to Basics event.
For those of you who have not been, Greenstone Station is part of Ngai Tahu’s farming property portfolio. It is situated on the western side of lake Wakatipu close to the head. Road access from Queenstown is via Glenorchy, around the top of the lake and down the other side. It’s easier by plane!
Through our member Andrew Green we were granted permission to run the fly-in. Big thanks to John and Andrew for organising a fun, affordable and very enjoyable weekend.
General consensus was a thumbs up and let’s do it again. As you can see from the photos below. it was a stunner indeed …
