Each year, AOPA NZ presents its Annual Awards to members and aviation organisations that have provided outstanding service and support to the general aviation community.
These awards are intended to recognise and celebrate the individuals and organisations whose efforts have made a positive difference over the past year. While the awards are presented in a fun and light-hearted spirit, they are a meaningful way of acknowledging the dedication and commitment of those who support our members.
We invite all AOPA NZ members to nominate individuals and organisations based on their own experiences. Once nominations have closed, our Life Members review the submissions and select the award recipients.
The winners are announced at the AOPA NZ Annual General Meeting, with each award then presented locally to the recipient.
Categories are:
- Most Helpful Control Tower
- Maintenance Shop of the Year
- Aviation Watering Hole of the Year
- The GA Champion Award
- Above and Beyond Award
