Cromwell is set to host the Central Otago Tracks & Wheels event at Easter 2027, and there’s a great opportunity for pilots to fly in and make a weekend of it!
The event is being held at the Cromwell Racecourse, right next to Cromwell Aerodrome (NZCS). Organisers have advised that an aircraft parking area will be available adjacent to Runway 18/36 on the western side, making it easy to fly in, park up and head along to the event.
While this isn’t an AOPA NZ event, it could be a great excuse to get together with fellow AOPA members, enjoy some flying around Central Otago, and take in the Tracks & Wheels action. Cromwell is likely to be busy over Easter, so if you’re interested, get in early and book your tickets and accommodation!
