An excellent ODF (One Day Fly-in) at Otaki Airfield, Sunday 10th April 2022
The day started out cold and grey with rain showers and initially we only had 3 local planes on the ground, but then it warmed up, the wind dropped, the sun came out and everyone turned up.
12 aircraft flew in plus there was a good turnout of pilots from the Otaki Airfield group who drove in rather than flew.
Planes arrived from Fielding, Foxpine, Paraparaumu, Blenheim, Nelson and Canterbury. We had a lovely BBQ put on by the local Otaki Airfield crew provided for from the Otaki airfield funds.
Everyone enjoyed the day, catching up with old and new friends. The consensus was that we should do it again, especially if a beach landing or some strips were on the menu.
