It’s really helpful and much appreciated when members send in suggestions for inclusion in our digital comms. It really helps us to gather great content to share with the members. Your contributions might include:
- Articles you’ve found (written by someone else)
- Something written by you (of any length)
- Links which members might find interesting
- Dates of events, non AOPA NZ fly-ins and more, to add to the calendar
- Photos and/or video
- A tip off about a story
- Anything else relevant to members
How to send your contribution
Simply send an email to comms@aopa.nz with whatever you want us to consider. But please give us a bit of detail to go with it, so please remember to include:
- Where the information you are sending is from
- If the information you are sending is about someone else (like another AOPA NZ member) please send us their contact details and a little bit of information about them
- Are there any relevant photos you can include?
- Your contact information (if it’s in your email footer, fine)
The rule of thumb is … help us to understand what this content is and why it’s interesting. If you’re sending a newsletter (say from another organisation), which content are you suggesting as relevant?
Editorial guidelines
- We will consider all submissions sent in as outlined above.
- Please have any submissions in at least four days before the next publication date
- AOPA NZ reserves the right select, decline or edit anything which comes in, and the editorial team’s decision on this will be final.
- Having said that, we encourage contributions and we want them please.
- Member contributions (writing, photos, videos) will be flagged as such, with the contributors being named. Anything containing private details or touching on advocacy or safety will most likely be housed in the “member only” area of the website.
- We’ll decide when and where the content will be published, along with all other content we receive or have already.
- Significant contributions may be passed on to our friends at AOPA NZ Approach Magazine for consideration for upcoming issues.
- If you’ve written something or sent in your own videos or photos, we’ll let you know what we intend to do.
- If you are simply sharing “interesting links” we’ll do what we can, and we are grateful.
